Trail Bikes
When you own a Honda Off-road bike you are ready to explore the road less travelled. As part of Honda’s worldwide commitment to rider enjoyment, safety and the environment, we offer an intensive one day off-road experience free with the purchase of any Honda Trail Bike.
You can truly experience all that your Honda has to offer by honing your skills, riding technique, off-road principles and safety. Our experienced instructors will help you discover both you and your bike’s true potential.
A chance to awaken your passions and feel the freedom of off-road riding and after successful completion, riders will receive a Honda Adventure Academy Off-Road Biking Certificate of Proficiency.
Times:
08h30 to 15h00 (Includes lunch and refreshments)
Gear up:
Helmet, goggles, gloves, long sleeve shirt, jeans and boots are the minimum must haves!
Training Venues:
Gauteng
Honda South Africa not only does CR-V training on this well known venue but also ATV, Trail bikes and Dual Sport training on this venue.
Gerotek is the only training and testing facility of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere.
Ideally situated close to Hartebeestpoort dam making it easy accessible for the Gauteng customers.
Western Cape
At the edge of the Franschhoek Valley, on the banks of the calm, clear waters of the Berg River is a little bit of have, The Riverside Restaurant and Function Venue is ideal for the whole family to come and spend the day relaxing in this tranquil setting. The Riverside is surrounded by exquisite indigenous gardens with striking views of the Groot Drakenstein Mountains to the south and the Wemmershoek Range to the north.
Honda is very proud to have negotiated with the surrounding property owners some of the most beautiful out rides into the stunning mountainous area.
Kwazulu Natal
Gwahumbe private game reserve and spa is an exclusive venue for the KZN customer. This private reserve overlooking the confluence of the Gwahumbe and Umsunduze Rivers forms part of the greater Gwahumbe Valley.
Honda South Africa is the only manufacturer allowed on this venue with ATV’S and Trail bikes.
Rhino, Hippo, Giraffe, Zebra and Antelope as well as an abundance of bird life can be seen close up in a beautiful riverine environment on the banks of the Gwahumbe river, from which the reserve derives it’s name. This venue has become one of our most popular training venues amongst our customers.
Mpumalanga
River wild is right next to the Sudwala Caves and easy accessible for the customers from all over Mpumalanga. Meandering through the lush vegetation of the pristine Weltevreden Valley flows the Houtbosloop River with its quiet pools, lively rapids and a spectacular gorge, creating a magnificent setting for the off road enthusiast. Huge indigenous tress and green lawns this is an ideal venue for the family to come and enjoy a Honda day in a tranquil setting.
Limpopo
Ysterberg is halway between Polokwane and Makopane. This old train station has been converted into a conference venue with numerous out rides in the surrounding bush veld.
Free State
The Eastern Free state is one of the most beautiful places in South Africa. Our venue is Shumba valley. Space, tranquility and unspoilt charm awaits you in the "Eastern Freestate Highlands". Panoramic views of the Maluti mountains and the Towering sandstone cliffs. Enjoy the wonders of the farm that is home to many happy outdoor adventurers looking for a relaxed, fun holiday destination where comfort is fully catered for. The outrides after the days training makes this venue an ideal venue to come to for a weekend.
North West
Oppi koppi is a purposely built training and outride venue for ATV’S and Trail bikes. This venue has become very popular is this region.
George
Louvain is a tranquil working farm situated in the upper Langkloof valley, halfway between George and Uniondale in the Western Cape. The Langkloof valley is 160km in distance and stretches from Herold, a small village north of George, to Humansdorp near Port Elizabeth. The valley is an important, vertile, fruit growing region nestled between the Kammanassie and Kouga mountains on the north and the Outeniqua mountain range in the south.
Most 4x4 and motorcycle enthusiasts know Louvain. This venue situated in the Langkloof with the out rides varying from flat easy sections, gorge riding, thick overgrown forest and then the high light up the Voortrekker pass to the top of the Outeniqua mountains with rolling views to the Wilderness coast.
Eastern Cape
Historic Maitland Mines offers scenic beauty, abundant birdlife and game, all found in indigenous bush and forest. The 4x4 trails and facilities were created to share the scenic beauty and indigenous bush with appreciative nature lovers. The proceeds go towards the removal of alien vegetation and restoring the area to its indigenous state.
Maitland mines is 10 minutes from the Port Elizabeth.
