VTEC adjusts the lift and duration of the engine’s intake valves according to engine speed. This supports smooth operation at lower RPM and helps the engine breathe more effectively at higher RPM, delivering stronger torque and top-end performance.

Honda’s BLAST technology increases low-speed torque under rapid acceleration. By adjusting ignition timing and the air-to-fuel ratio, BLAST helps the hull get onto the plane faster and delivers the immediate response needed when accelerating.

ECOmo Lean Burn Control monitors the engine’s operating conditions and adjusts the air-to-fuel ratio accordingly. During cruising, the system allows the BF100 to operate on a leaner fuel mixture, supporting excellent fuel economy and lower emissions.
