Features and Style
Performance
Honda’s 755cc parallel twin consolidates a significant amount of engineering efficiency into a compact layout, delivering strong, linear response across the entire rev band. The unit produces 67.5kW and a torque peak of 75Nm, ensuring consistent drive for both solo and two-up touring scenarios. The Throttle By Wire (TBW) system features calibrations that shape the engine’s delivery toward stable, predictable performance, optimised for touring comfort.
Control
Handling remains light, precise and confidence-inspiring. The steel diamond frame achieves low weight through optimised wall thickness, tubing diameter and overall rigidity balance. High-quality suspension components support both road and off-road performance: Showa 43mm SFF-CA USD forks up front and a Pro-Link rear shock. Damping revisions include slightly softer compression and rebound on the front end, with a firmer setting at the rear to improve compliance on rough surfaces while preserving stability on-road. Braking is handled by dual two-piston calipers, and the 90/90-21 front and 150/70-18 rear tyres provide excellent versatility across mixed terrain.
Design
The XL750 Transalp features streamlined, functional bodywork that’s tough, simple and free of excess. For the 25YM model, the front section has been reworked with design elements borrowed from the Africa Twin. The update introduces a new headlight system using unified dual LED projector lenses for both high and low beam.
A revised five-inch TFT colour display sits at the centre of the Transalp’s technology package, offering three display modes, system control, and seamless integration with Honda RoadSync for Android and iOS. The interface is managed through a 4-way left-handlebar toggle. The indicators are equipped with auto-cancel as well as ESS, which activates under heavy braking to warn following vehicles.
